A Brief Introduction
The Archives have gone through quite a few revisions from its original form, and probably will go through several more as time goes by. The goal here is to let our AF Members know their history, and have it written down somewhere for future reference. Not everything is listed down, and it is told from an AF point of view, but it should offer a glimpse of some more Arcadian History that you may not have known previously.
17| Addition of TUFOP
TUFOP was one of the alliances which helped in the 1300 Insector War leading to AF’s creation, but they, like GSAD & CGF declined to join as they were already in a coalition. However, around the time that AF began discussing the tag merge that situation had changed, and TUFOP was now requesting to join AF. CGF by now had merged into a much larger alliance known as GF, and GSAD had joined another rising coalition called IVC (See 13K War). TUFOP at the time was ranked in the Top50, far larger than any alliance in AF had ever been. Combined with Bound leaving and a potentially unstable AF, they were quickly accepted and allowed into the federation.
The first group up with TUFOP ended up with a rough, albeit hopeful start. AF2 & AF3 agreed to jump to Sector 2100 where TUFOP was, and shared a group chat with them while there. AF went and joined TUFOP’s group chat directly rather than inviting TUFOP to one of theirs to give it a better chance of success. Ultimately this proved successful, but the problem arose in the fact that right after AF jumped in so did ICU, and TUFOP being a Top50 alliance ripe with medals was quickly targeted. In the end, it meant all the groups spent the week getting farmed, but TUFOP, despite having relocations up, did remain with AF which was received positively. The entire incident did raise the concern though that AF2 & AF3 wouldn’t have been targeted by such a large alliance if not for TUFOP, one which was most certainly true.

18| Addition of DRKSL; TUFOP Disbands
Originally, I had written a note here for a section called “Travelling Around,” meaning that for a few weeks not much must have happened and I simply wanted to fill space instead of skipping into the future, however as I have no recollection of what was going on around this time, you can instead have this note. We’re skipping a few weeks into the future.
Around November 2, 2015 the AF Republic had been set up for those with the AF Tag (TUFOP not included). Most information about the AF Republic is discussed in the next section, but one thing that immediately followed this was a senate resolution asking for TUFOP to be removed from AF. Following the incident with ICU there hadn’t been much communication with TUFOP outside of LINE, and TUFOP had missed a mandatory group up required once a month for all AF alliances. TUFOP was still providing more cooperation than any other AF alliance had ever done apart from BOUND, but one of their major limitations was a power struggle occurring in their alliance.
TUFOP’s leader was Quadrant 7, with his co-leader being ForeverNerdy. Sometime during the “travelling around” period the two got in a fight over one of their allies, OMAK (Later became IF) over attacks on TUFOP. Nerdy, having set up the alliance with them, was furious over Quadrant’s retaliation and left/got kicked (I forget) from the alliance. Being a massively influential figure in TUFOP he took several of TUFOP’s core members and joined EDC as the alliance EDC-E. This left Quadrant for the most part struggling to keep TUFOP together and without much room to focus on AF. As such, AF Senate’s resolution, which had no impact on AF Council, was mostly ignored by AF Leadership and passively carried out as the two groups isolated themselves from each other.
This changed though with the occurrence of two factors. One of which was when an alliance called BLKSL (later renamed themselves DRKSL when joining) asked to join AF. ARC knew them from Sector 4300, where they went after the SVC & TC War (Chapter 5). There had been friendly relations between the two ever since, so joining AF would not have been much of a problem if not for the fact that DRKSL did not get along with TUFOP at all. The problem though, resolved itself when the 2nd factor occurred being that Quadrant had lost control of the remaining TUFOP members who were now scattering and joining different alliances. Quadrant asked for AF to look after the remaining ones, which joined AF3, and he went to a different alliance [SG]. With TUFOP disbanding, DRKSL’s hesitation to join AF ceased and they quickly proceeded to join AF on November 11, 2015.

19| 1400 Wrath Extermination Plan (3rd Wrath War)
The Wrath extermination plan went into effect on November 17, 2015 after being voted on by the AF Senate & AF Council. The war itself was a result of a Wrath member’s alt targeting AF8 and prior to that attempting to infiltrate AF as a spy. Outraged at this and wishing to crush Wrath before they could grow in a size that rivalled AF, it was agreed for all forces to jump into Sector 1400 to destroy Wrath no matter how long it took. There was, however, one rather large problem that surfaced shortly after arrival.
At first, AF was crushing Wrath and successfully destroying their fleets & bases as planned. Although they had grown and had a few coiners, they were unable to penetrate AF’s solar system and AF was continuously bombing their planet. Located in 1400 was another alliance named BlaSa, which at the time was part of Bellum, the 2nd largest coalition behind UA (United Alliances). BlaSa and Wrath had been in allied talks when the assault began and BlaSa had around 9 alliances, 6 of which were in the Top100. As such, when Wrath asked BlaSa for assistance, BlaSa agreed to help - turning the tide of the war. Regardless, BlaSa encountered heavy resistance trying to base AF, and when they got into a base, AF had prioritized base defense due to often fighting massive alliances they couldn’t win in FvF, resulting in all but a few BlaSa players capable of wiping out AF bases. This left AF bases mostly intact and a constant FvF in sector space as AF forces attempted to reach Wrath’s planet.
Although inefficient, AF could continuously harass Wrath fleets in sector and destroy several bases at the cost of large amounts of fleets. This led to several VBRP, now an alliance filled with ex-PHA, ex-ARC, & all ARL players jumping into AF’s planet. There were only 6 or 7 bases, but because all of them had practically unlimited coins they were able to, much in the same way Borg had done to ARC, send fleet after fleet back to life. This only lasted for 2days before they coin-jumped out but during the period they had continuously kept every AF alliance in 24/7 shields probably at the cost of several hundred USD. With AF drained from VBRP, unable to leave sector space due to BlaSa, and now facing resistance from Wrath & several 1400 alliances who now saw AF as an easy target, the plan had for the most part failed.
Choosing to stay and take a stand however, BlaSa eventually got bored and left the sector leaving just AF, Wrath, and several smaller 1400 alliances. With BlaSa gone AF could quickly complete their domination over Wrath even in a weakened state, and with BlaSa gone, resources could be quickly gained again. The smaller 1400 alliances which had decided to join in posed almost no threat, and a few relocated when AF began killing them. Wrath however, after just 48 hours of assault from AF, relocated to BlaSa’s side in another sector. Knowing that AF stood no chance against BlaSa the plan to pursue them was put to a halt. Wrath would not leave BlaSa’s side until the collapse of their coalition on March 15, 2016 (4 Months Later) during a coordinated assault which AF participated in directly targeting Wrath (See Reign of Lord Az).

20| Disbanding the Coalition (Sector 100 War)
Following the Wrath Extermination Plan, not much happened with AF in terms of actual combat until the end of December. One thing that AF had continuously strived to do was to oppose most of the large alliances, primarily due to being farmed by practically all of them at one point in time. This generally aligned AF with IVC & UA-VL. Although being small compared to most coalitions, even smaller than most large alliances, AF worked on becoming friendly to both groups should they need help. One of the main ways this was done was through allying EDC & Little Boy; two of the larger alliances in IVC.
AF also made sure to remain friendly to GF (formerly CGF), the largest alliance in UA-VL, which they had contact with following their involvement in the 1300 Insector War. This led to AF joining in a war in Sector 100 where EDC was requesting assistance against ICU & DOC. Having nothing to do, AF mobilized AF1 to jump into the sector and help expecting most of AF to be ineffective in such a large fight. The war itself got AF huge amounts of medals as several of the larger alliances could break through the defenses and allow for easy basing. ICU jumped out a few days after AF had arrived (the war had been ongoing for some time), leaving DOC to fend for themselves.
One thing that did occur during the war was DRKSL choosing to leave AF following the end of the mission in AF1. They had received an offer to merge with a longtime ally of theirs, LONE, and had chosen to accept leaving AF on good terms. Seeing as at the time this is written LONE has consistently remained a Rank 40 alliance, it proved to be a successful call on their end. After having BOUND, TUFOP, and now DRKSL leave the coalition, the decision was made that on New Years 2016, AF’s coalition would disband. From now on anyone who wished to join AF would have to take the tag to create a stronger bond and attempt to prevent the continued leaving of alliances.
