A Brief Introduction
The Archives have gone through quite a few revisions from its original form, and probably will go through several more as time goes by. The goal here is to let our AF Members know their history, and have it written down somewhere for future reference. Not everything is listed down, and it is told from an AF point of view, but it should offer a glimpse of some more Arcadian History that you may not have known previously.
1| The Formation of ARCAD (The SPB War)
ARCAD, short for Arcadia, was created from a merge between QAF (Leader: Gameking), and Dai-G (Leader: Kamina). The original idea was to create a super-alliance with QAF, Dai-G, -BFM-, and DCD. However, -BFM-, was a sub-alliance and the primary one was unwilling to merge. DCD's leader refused the idea of changing to a different tag. When ARCAD was ultimately created then, Kamina was leader and Gameking was put as an officer. Many of the original QAF and Dai-G Officers were allowed to keep their positions after the merge. The conditions which led to the merge however, were a direct result of the 1st SPB War.
Dai-G, based on 1325, upon founding quickly came into conflict with neighbors SPB, based on 1324. The planetary war originally began between occasional attacks which simply escalated over time. Both alliances had the majority of their members below Level 30, but SPB had a larger amount of 35+s and older, plus more experienced, players. This led Dai-G to pursue allied support from Sector 1300. The alliances of QAF, -BFM-, and DCD were those which were willing to assist Dai-G in their conflict. |
While asking for allied assistance, Dai-G also moved their players from 1325 to 1303 in the Middle Solar System (1325 is in the North). The increased distance and support allowed Dai-G to defend their bases and directly assault SPB on 1324. Midway into the allied offensive against SPB, Se7en jumped into 1300 and began attacking SPB. Although their motives for attacking, "SPB is Russian, kill on sight," were undoubtedly racist, the assistance regardless proved invaluable. Shortly after Se7en had arrived, an alliance named SVC (Rank #26) arrived in Sector 1400. They continuously attacked Sector 1300 and distracted all of 1300's alliances, with the exception of Se7en which had an alliance of them. Se7en's persistent attacks, in combination with those prior, led to a mass jump-out by the SPB alliance ending the war.
2| The Division of ARCAD (The SVC War)
SVC, as noted in Section 1, arrived prior to the end of the 1st SPB War, and distracted all of 1300's alliances. SVC, similar to many 1300 alliances, lived on a policy of non-insecting and as such focused all attacks on out-of-sectors. Their planet was right on the 1300 portal, and with ARCAD now inhabiting 1303, had a direct attack route on the alliance. SVC, due to their large size and rank, were able to easily overwhelm all 1300 Defense Forces and consistently annihilate the ARCAD alliance. After several days of continuous attacks, the QAF members, and leader, left 1300 and abandoned the rest of the ARCAD members.
|
When a week had passed since QAF's members had jumped, they returned to Planet 1303, but still refused to help the rest of the alliance. The now 10/11 Days of fighting had created a mutual-defense relationship between the Sector 1300 alliances leading ARCAD to adopt a 'carebear' ideology (Non-Toleration of Insector Attacks). Regardless of the mutual-defense relationship as fighting entered its 3rd week, many in ARCAD were ready to leave Sector 1300. However, although there were people pro- on the idea of leaving permanently, or even temporarily, many were also against the idea.
As inter-alliance arguing increased on what pursuit of action to take, it became obvious that no side was going to convince the other. Eventually, ARCAD was split into three different divisions to pursue three different paths. Kamina handed leadership to Gameking, as a vassal, and created ARC·3 to leave sector and recruit new individuals. Tony Mai quit the alliance with many who wished to stay in 1300 and formed ARC·2 to remain and fight. ARCAD was moved to Planet 1307 (Eastern Solar System) to be far away from the Sector 1400 Portal and the fighting.

3| The Collapse of ARCAD (The UNK Invasion)
A few days following the split, SVC began to leave Sector 1400 leaving three semi-independent ARC alliances to grow. ARC·3 ended up remaining in 1300 for a week longer than planned to get members out of ARCAD who wished to still move, and the fact that there was no SVC threat anymore stalled their initial departure. ARC·2 upon formation quickly declared themselves independent and were forming their own government. Despite the independent ARC·2 government, a spy was left in ARCAD to monitor Gameking due to suspicion of his leadership. As ARC·2 was composed completely of the fighting members of ARCAD, the fact that Gameking, and ultimately QAF's members, were allowed to not only stay - but lead ARCAD, after abandoning them to SVC in both leaving sector, and refusing help when coming back, served to create the atmosphere which not only led to the independent ARC·2, but a lack of faith in Kamina's ability to successfully monitor ARCAD.
As ARC·3 neared final preparations to leave, the spy left in ARCAD reported that Gameking intended to move the alliance out of 1300 despite strict orders to stay on 1307. The information was quickly shared with Kamina leading to a dual confrontation by ARC·2 & 3. During the confrontation, Gameking did not deny he intended to leave, and also refused to remain in 1300. This led him, as he later admitted while brutally farmed by Tony Mai ☺️, to come to the assumption, rather correctly, that Kamina & Tony intended to remove him from leadership.
The following day, a friend of Gameking's, DTR Death Front, relocated into 1307 where ARCAD was located. When he arrived Gameking took his QAF members in ARCAD and recreated QAF, leaving ARCAD under control of an inactive player intentionally. Once moved over, the QAF members and DTR attacked ARC·2 on 1303. However, during the SVC conflict, ARC·2 became friends with TAC and BFM's main alliance due to their refusal to jump out. Combined, the attacks were stopped and QAF & DTR were both contained which led DTR to announce, at the time rather believed to be jokingly, that "Bigger friends were coming." A few days later as QAF was relocating out, UNK arrived into their planet and immediately targeted TAC, BFM, and ARC. ARC·3 did an emergency jump without the members they were staying behind for, and ARC·2 took the remaining ARCAD members and had them jump into 1303. During UNK's week in 1300, they successfully annihilated any force fighting them and constantly killed any fleets outside of sector leading many of the domestic 1300 alliances to jump out.

4| The Rise of ARC·2
After ARCAD collapsed and UNK left 1300, there was a period of peace for several months. ARC·2 grew and invited new members, while their old ones began to hit late game. Base testing became mandatory, and was easily enforced due to the small alliance size, in order to handle attacks by SPB, SVC, or UNK. Members in ARC·2 were encouraged to not insector, be active in Sector Chat to gain allies and members, and attack invading groups from out of sector for combat practice. This process led to an alliance with ECHO, who shared a similar style to ARC·2, and for an increase in influence in Sector 1300.

During the same time period, ARC·3 traveled from sector to sector to gain a wide diversity of members. Unfortunately, because ARC·3 left Sector 1300 early, they were unprepared from the start of their alliance. They struggled to attract members, and later to get them to jump from sector to sector. Many members who ended up joining were silent and didn't help out leading ARC·3 to negotiate with ARC·2 again on the possibility of a merge. However, the conditions for a merge involved Tony Mai to become leader instead of Kamina (Who ended up becoming leader of ARC·T on April 25, 2015), and for ARC·2 members to have the ability to jump around if not at conflict.
The merge between the two re-unified Arcadia under a single tag for the first time since the split, the difference is that they ended up being required to follow an aggressive ARC·2 ideology. This was generally to advocate unity between the Arcadia alliances and to prevent an internal divide such as had occurred with QAF. The merge allowed for ARC·2 to further increase its membership and be able to recruit from sectors other than 1300. The population explosion, if it may be deemed as such, led to ARC·2's pre-existing systems to deteriorate as they weren't designed to support enough people. It was during this period of change and adapting that SVC/TC jumped into 1300 and put them to test when warring with ARC·2.
