A Brief Introduction
The Archives have gone through quite a few revisions from its original form, and probably will go through several more as time goes by. The goal here is to let our AF Members know their history, and have it written down somewhere for future reference. Not everything is listed down, and it is told from an AF point of view, but it should offer a glimpse of some more Arcadian History that you may not have known previously.
9| The 1300 Invasion War
The 1300 Invasion War took place over a period of five weeks, in what can be simply explained in two primary stages, and three parts. The first being the arrival of RTTC in an attempt to attack ECHO for their conflict in Sector 4500. ECHO, not being in 1300, was not present and RTTC instead focused their attacks on the major defensive forces of 1300, in specific, WWR. ECHO however, when confronted by ARC, refused to return to 1300 and assist leaving it to fend for themselves. RTTC, which alone could not handle all of 1300, called in DNGR to assist them.
It is with the arrival of DNGR, that the remembered, official, start of the war began. DNGR had hostilities towards WWR being composed of ex-members. They also had previous ties to ARC from the time they left Sector 1300 for 4300 to avoid TC/SVC. During 4300, WWR had its DNGR faction split off, and friendly relations were maintained with both. With DNGR helping RTTC threaten the majority of the 1300 factions, ARC decided that it was better to assist WWR than remain neutral. |
With ARC entering the conflict, ABYSS quickly joined followed by VA (EVOLV), and most of Planet 1320. Facing opposition from WWR, ARC, ABYSS, VA (EVOLV), BFM, URTB, and 1320, more groups quickly moved in to assist the opposition. BACON, -ASS-, LMF, HAVOC, DST9, TLOB, STFU, and UNVEU jumped into the southern system in assistance of RTTC & DNGR. With the size of the war rapidly increasing, and 1300's forces outnumbered, ARC called on ECHO's leader to assist as they had been partially responsible for bringing in RTTC. Regardless, help was refused much to the anger of ARC on the grounds that "1300 is not our business, and new allies can always be made." This led ARC to call a Public Vote to de-ally ECHO which passed 76% to 24%; the results however were kept hidden to ECHO until a later date. After several days of conflict, WWR (Rank #53) collapsed under pressure and many of their members split or joined DNGR against 1300's forces. With the primary threatened ally now disbanded, and knowing that staying meant almost certain death, ARC & ABYSS left sector temporarily to regroup their forces in Sector 100. The hope was that with the Valhalla Carrier event approaching, it would offer an advantage against Raptures. Also, with ECHO being in Sector 100, even without their leader's approval, they may be able to get assistance from their members, or LORD (Rank #17) which ECHO was associating themselves with.
10| Formation of the Arcadia Federation
After being unsuccessful in gaining help in Sector 100, other than a single empathetic ECHO Player (Austinhug), ARC and ABYSS returned to Sector 1300. Using intel from ARC·2 players who had remained behind, contact was established with GSAD & CGF whom had arrived and were attacked by the invaders. Meanwhile, DCD & a small alliance called SRCN were being attacked now as well. DCD's leader remained hostile to ARC despite this, and SRCN was too small to be effective, plus their leader had been brutally calm-warrioring which led ARC to pursue no contact.
|
Upon arrival, TUFOP/TSGH were located in Sector 1100 and willing to help out. TUFOP was allies with GSAD & CGF and as such joined in to help them, while TSGH's leader proudly called himself the "Defender of Arcadia." Reaching out to more contacts, ARC managed to convince enemies BBB & KOS from sector 1200 to help as well saying that they were better off helping ARC annihilate the invaders as it would clear out the bottom sector on their border limiting short-distance portal attacks. Meanwhile, RTTC & STFU had already left sector leaving the invaders down with two of their major alliances and the defenders with six more than originally; three of which were Top 100. Combined, the defending forces now vastly outnumbered the invaders in both numbers, high levels, and ranking and were able to ruthlessly crush them in raids day by day. This led to HAVOC, -ASS-, DST9, TLOB, and UNVEU pulling out before they lost more medals. After several more days, LMF collapsed when their leader refused to leave the fighting, which led BACON and DNGR to retreat as well.
The success of the combined offensive although largely responsible to superior numbers and high levels, was also a representation of the failure in judgement by the invaders whom hit everyone they could. The alliances which contributed in the defense served as the base plate for the foundation of the Arcadia Federation. Although TUFOP, GSAD, and CGF were already in their own coalition, and TSGH declined to offer so that it would not have to give up its insector policy, EVOLV, ARC, & ABYSS were all willing to make an alliance together. It was on May 27, 2015 that a deal was finally made between them outlining the original rules and policy of the Arcadia Federation. An alliance born through five weeks of brutal fighting and the determination of the defenders to keep going despite all odds as a single, unified, entity.

11| AF Policy Change (3rd Se7en War)
Following the 1300 Insector War, things were relatively peaceful for several weeks. ARC & ABYSS forged closer ties and eventually moved into the same group chat, but communication with EVOLV was tenuous at best which, although overlooked at the time due to a lack of ongoing events, most certainly became a problem down the road. That problem materialized as the alliance Se7en jumped yet again into Sector 1300 and directly targeted ARC. After the fighting from the 1400 portal in the 2nd Se7en War they decided they would attack from within 1300, and it was extraordinarily effective.
|
They could continuously neutralize ARC, and when 1300 was called on for assistance only ABYSS answered. EVOLV, despite being bound to defend, simply remained comm silent and did nothing. The rest of the minor alliances in 1300 also remained quiet leaving ARC & ABYSS to get pounded without assistance in stark contrast to previous conflicts. With no aid the concept of a Unified Sector Defense came under fire as several AF began to target the idea as a failure. After several days of getting farmed, the first two resolutions of the AF Council, other than the creation of allies, were passed. The first being the removal of EVOLV from the Arcadia Federation for refusing to honor their defensive pact with ARC & ABYSS. The second was the removal of the condition preventing the Arcadia Federation from abandoning Sector 1300 during conflict.
When Se7en left, projects were ongoing looking for potential new AF Alliances, ones which would not only defend but not be bound to Sector 1300. Head of the project was ABYSS Lumpy who had jumped to Sector 5200 randomly in the hopes of finding new friends: he did. After recovering for a few days both ARC & ABYSS relocated there to meet two new alliances which were interested in joining the Arcadia Federation: Bound & Exile. It would be the start of AF continuously jumping from sector to sector rather than staying rooted in the same location.

12| Addition of Bound & Exile
Sector 5200, much like Sector 1300, had a group of unified alliances which generally got along well and rarely argued with each other. Although there was no established coalition there was peace insector & shared support among the major alliances there. Upon arrival, however, ARC & ABYSS were immediately thrust into a war which Bound & Exile were fighting. The target? A Rank 90 alliance whose name has been lost to history unfortunately. The war began when the alliance threatened BOUND & EXILE in their solar system to relocate out or be farmed for “taking their space."
|
Even without ARC & ABYSS assisting in the war, BOUND and EXILE had it handled on their own for the most part. Combined, they evenly matched the alliance in terms of FvF Capability. With ARC & ABYSS involved, the evenly matched scenario simply became overwhelming, allowing for their planet barricade to be continuously broken through. One thing that struck out to ARC was the amount of EXILE which not only had max-tier sniper fleets, but the amount which could use them effectively. Doing so, a set few players could take out the entire alliance so long as their fleets were defended by allies, and they kept this rate up for days. Although it was common, with ARC & ABYSS completely uninvolved in higher level fighting, except when it knocked on their doorstep, it was the first such example they had seen; and it became a model on what the two alliances should strive for.
After only three or four days of fighting the enemy alliance began to break down. It was clear from the start of the conflict that many members did not approve of fighting for such a ridiculous reason. With the alliance getting hammered, and EXILE stealing so many medals, they now exceeded them in rank and the alliance disbanded. ARC & ABYSS were eager to have the two join the Arcadia Federation after seeing how they handled themselves in conflict, and EXILE & BOUND appeared excited about the prospect of joining up with two alliances which had proved they weren’t afraid to help against a larger alliance. It appeared to be a successful start to a new era of the Arcadia Federation, but problems were quick to rise.
