A Brief Introduction
The Archives have gone through quite a few revisions from its original form, and probably will go through several more as time goes by. The goal here is to let our AF Members know their history, and have it written down somewhere for future reference. Not everything is listed down, and it is told from an AF point of view, but it should offer a glimpse of some more Arcadian History that you may not have known previously.
13| Division from EXILE
Prior to joining the Arcadia Federation, EXILE & BOUND had known each other for months. This was more a benefit than a problem however, as it allowed ARC & ABYSS greater communication with EXILE through BOUND (which was more active on LINE). After only a few weeks in AF though, there was a continuing trend from EXILE: Lack of almost any communication, empty promises, and downright being uncooperative. It wasn’t that EXILE didn’t like the rest of the AF Alliances, they simply weren’t willing to put in any effort towards making it a two-way partnership - it couldn’t continue.
Later, when several AF Leaders decided to take the initiative to try and push ties closer together they came across a shock: EXILE’s members did not so much as know what the Arcadia Federation was. Not only was this extended to their members, but their officers and even 2nd in command. EXILE’s leader had, through no mistake at all, agreed to join the Arcadia Federation, but did not tell anyone about it, and despite saying he would act towards improving communication, it was clear he had not and was instead lying to the rest of the AF Council.
As such, ARC, ABYSS, & BOUND’s representatives unanimously agreed to remove EXILE from the Arcadia Federation just a few weeks after they had joined. EXILE’s leader did not take it well, and while ARC/ABYSS were in 1300 & BOUND was in 5200 they declared war on BOUND. With ARC/ABYSS relocations down, and BOUND’s up, BOUND agreed to relocate to Sector 1300 to group with the rest of AF should EXILE follow. They never did, and as EXILE relocated to Sector 4500 surrounded by large & massive allies, they were never hunted for redemption.

14| Growing Numbers & AF Power (1st Wrath War)
While in 1300, things went well for the Arcadia Federation alliances. New players were spawning in sector constantly, and these were then recruited by ARC, ABYSS, and BOUND. Enough recruits had filtered in that ARC expanded out and created ARC·E (Arcadia Ethereals); led by Popeye. There were no alliances hostile towards AF in Sector 1300, quite contrary some new ones had moved in which got along well with AF. Relations between the AF alliances were going smoothly and the AF alliances simply grew in numbers and power.
The one event that changed the calm and quiet nature though was a war with an alliance called WRATH in Sector 1400. It had started over various attacks from WRATH on ARC·T, who attacked first isn't quite known, but being in different sectors nobody really cared either - it was simply to be expected. With most of ARC bored as nothing was going on, they brutally retaliated on WRATH for the attacks and continuously killed their fleets & bases. As such, WRATH reached out to ARC Leadership asking for the attacks to stop, or at least be limited to ARC·T.
At the time, ARC was leagues larger than WRATH. They had a few large players, but nowhere near enough to provide a challenge. ARC fleets would continuously reign in on the sector with no fight except from one or two massive coiners - which would often lose their entire fleets without scratching their opponent (Ah... pre-rebalance, good times). As such, when WRATH reached out it was no big deal for the two to reach a ceasefire agreement.

15| External Conflicts (PHA War) (2nd Wrath War)
Not much happened after the 1st WRATH War for several weeks, perhaps over a month at best. AF would more and more often begin to leave and return to Sector 1300 as needed. However, upon one return an alliance called PHA had relocated to 1300 and attacked several ARC, ABYSS, & BOUND players. They were large and if I recall in the Top 100 at the time. The two groups became embroiled in a long and brutal conflict with bases consistently being hit.
The reason for this was ARC & BOUND were based on Planet 1303, while PHA was based on Planet 1302. The planets were often extremely close together because of this, allowing for quick attacks without being noticed. After a coordinated raid though that left most PHA in bubbles (rather proudly), PHA’s leader asked for peace with AF, one which was easily accepted as AF was truthfully outmatched. Days into the PHA war however, WRATH members began attacking AF bases as well.
Ordinarily, AF would simply contact the WRATH player that had asked for peace previously, but he was unresponsive to attempts. This meant that not only was AF fighting a brutal war with PHA, but they were getting hit by a much larger WRATH (as they had grown significantly since the first conflict). Once the war with PHA did finally end, AF could focus their complete attention on WRATH, rather than simply defending attacks. Most of the AF members though, especially ARC & BOUND (Abyss was on 1310 away from PHA & WRATH, fighting none the less however), wished for a break as they had been constantly repairing for days straight. This left leadership, specifically that of ARC, in a tough scenario.

16| Merge into AF Tags
With most AF alliances drained from fighting WRATH, and contact scarce, division began to pop up between the three AF alliances. More than that, it was opening ripples specifically within ARC’s leadership. Obviously with WRATH and AF embroiled in a war there was no choice but to defend and fight back, but where some players wished to keep fighting until WRATH was wiped off the map, – others wanted to establish communication, make peace, and potentially invite them to AF one day should relations heal.
When WRATH’s contact to AF, being their leader, finally responded to communication about the attacks he apologized explaining he had been away. ABYSS & BOUND had been fine with making peace from the beginning, leaving ARC’s leader to make the decision of what to do. On one hand, you had several AF players wanting a rest from fighting, and on the other you had those who saw WRATH as a real danger to the federation and wanted them exterminated. The ultimate decision, for reasons explained in the Additional, was to agree on a ceasefire with WRATH. Fourty-eight hours would be given for all attacks to stop & communication to be spread.
The decision antagonized the ARC members who wanted to exterminate WRATH, and further forced them to question Tony Mai's leadership of ARC. An officer of ARC·E finally decided to act and knowingly broke the ceasefire on WRATH saying that “If you’re really stupid enough to make a ceasefire like that then I don’t have to take orders from you.” As such, Tony went to ARC·E’s leader demanding that the officer be kicked (this was by far not his first time ignoring orders) and was promptly ignored. When WRATH demanded to know why ARC was hitting them, and was given the reason that “There’s nothing we can do about it,” they cut off all relations with AF and pursued open hostilities claiming that ARC could not be trusted.

As attacks from Wrath resumed, Tony was dealing with a silent coup occurring in ARC·E. Taking action himself, he removed the ARC·E Officer initially causing problems from all ARC & AF LINE chats (essentially saying they were kicked), at which point the officer left ARC·E voluntarily. However, this created a chain in which ARC·E’s leader deserted, half of ARC·E's members quit, and several ARC·2 & ARC·T members left. At the same time this was happening, the leader of PHA's 2nd branch deserted over their, as he claimed, “surrender” to AF and jumped into ARC & BOUND’s planet to coin to death as many bases as he could.
One problem that their leader ran into after bubbling half of ARC was that Tony (Thank you Pre-Rebalance) was intercepting his fleets as they tried to warp from his base and killing them repeatedly for instant repair. Unable to base anyone, an alliance of mega-coiners named ARL which had historically been neutral to AF jumped in and helped (as it turns out PHA2’s leader was an alt account to one of their members). This event was used as a political attack by the now ex-ARC against Tony's leadership and when BOUND’s leader floated the idea of a single AF tag, Tony jumped at the opportunity as it was likely the only way to keep whatever was left of his alliance alive.
ABYSS voted on it and agreed to join as well. BOUND’s leader however ran into a complication as several of his members extremely disproved of the idea. ABYSS & ARC meanwhile relocated to Sector 5200 and began creating AF2 & AF3, leaving BOUND to solve their own internal problems with the idea. While in the process of moving, ABYSS (Now AF3) invited an ex-BOUND unknowingly for around 45 minutes until BOUND demanded they were kicked. This was quickly followed, but BOUND claimed that the sheer fact AF did it was unacceptable and pulled out from AF (no joke). AF2 & AF3’s leader quickly concluded that BOUND was simply looking for an excuse to pull out so that they wouldn’t have to take an AF tag. Together the two alliances proceeded forward again towards a hopefully brighter ending.
